Individual Grants

The SEAL Legacy Foundation is committed to providing individual financial assistance and support to United States Navy SEALs and their families through Education, Funeral, Health and Wellness, Living and Quality of Life grants. These grants are designed to ease the financial burden that can occur immediately or even years after an accident, injury or fatality in the line of duty.

Grant Amounts

SEAL Legacy Foundation Individual Grants are awarded based on eligibility and financial need up to the following amounts:

  • $10,000

    For active SEALs and their families

  • $10,000

    For Retired and Reserve SEALs and their families

  • $5,000

    For Former SEALs and their families

Applying For A Grant

How the process works:

Once your application is received, the SEAL Legacy Foundation Grant Committee will determine if you meet the above guidelines. Applications will be processed as they come in, and decisions made upon review. If your application is accepted we will contact you to arrange fulfillment. If we cannot meet your request, you will receive a letter explaining the decision.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Navy SEAL who is serving or was discharged honorably, or a dependent.
  • Gold Star or Surviving Spouse or Child of a SEAL.
  • Grants are limited to one award per two-year period, and must be used within one-year from the date of award for the purposes approved.
  • Priority is given to requests that are service related or service impacted; involve a serious health issue; OR generally support the ability of active duty members to maintain operational effectiveness.
